  Balls in a Pool Game Have you ever just thrown a lot of balls into a pool and just got in with your kids? Well I have. It's a magical experience. This same experience is beautiful when placed in a sand or water table. As I had a lot of fun I saw a lot of learning taking place. You have all the red balls, my favorite color is blue. These balls are round and soft. I like these small balls. The water was cold it is getting water now that we have been in the sun for a long time. I feel really cool on this hot day, the pool really cools you down... Setting the pace for learning involves setting up the environment for students to learn and just allow them to freely interact while the adult observes from a distance or sometimes guides or joins in with play. Have fun playing everyone!

    My choice of play is Minecraft.   I figured, seeing that I have seen so many You Tube videos on it and my son plays it why not give it a chance. That way he could get to teach me something and we could have some mommy son moment with this game. My son happily stopped what he was doing and explained the game. Basically you just go exploring and find different things, create things like a house or an entire community but once it is night you have to be inside because monsters come out and you won't survive outside. Sounds simple enough right. Wrong!  A couple minutes into the game I fell into a ravine, where there is no way out unless you have another friend on your server you could call and then you can teleport your way out. Unfortunately his friend went back to school so no help coming my way. My son left me with a wide grin on his face.  PRICELESS Oh well! back to the drawing board I suppose.    Stages of block play  Stages of Block Play for Preschoolers Stage 1: Discovering Blocks. Stage 2: Stacking Blocks. Stage 3: Complex Stacking. Stage 4: Making Enclosures. Stage 5: Creating Bridges or Arches. Stage 6: Combining Enclosures and Bridges I played with my two kids in my classroom last week with blocks. I allowed them to choose their own blocks and made sure that they had more then enough blocks to create whatever they liked. I had to fight the urge to interject my own belief and perception as to what they should be doing first, second etc. I decided to watch to see how it panned out and just use my blocks some place else. I was glad that I did. This four year old worked with her three year old partner to build a castle like no other. I was both impressed and embarrassed at the same time. My attempt at building a classroom was a complete flop in comparison to theirs. They had a good laugh and I was so proud of them. I cropped out the kids but hopefully you can...

   Measurement and so much more Playing with sand in a natural environment Or a sand pit with your friends Or on a sand table with an adult Playing with sand is an awesome experience. It could be the beginning of your architectural career, or medical career or any other field that requires accurate measurements. Having fun while learning all these cool stuff is the best experience ever! I find though that all though I grew up on an island with white sand beaches I don't like touching sand too much with my hands. I put on a gloves and I don't mind too much. It could be because the sand I am playing with does not feel like the traditional sand I am accustomed to so it feels strange on my hands or it could just be that I have gotten older. Either way it is something to consider when the children I teach are a little reluctant to touch different things within the centers. Have fun guys!

   Call of Duty: War-Zone Shouldn't play be fun? Who created these games and thought it would be appropriate for kids. I definitely do no recommend having your kids play these games and for my son to think it is okay for him to show me how to play this game make me think that I need to lift my head up out of the books more often. Is this what I have been rewarding him with for homework completion and completing tasks and doing well on tests? I think he needs a lifetime band instead of a two week band. My husband is going to have to figure out how he is going to get my son off this game he got him hooked on. I doubt if he even knows how to play it, he just knows that he needed games and he got it for him. This game is so graphic plus there are ghosts flying around and once you get these I forgot what my son says they are you can come back to life.   Battle Royal Trying to play one of these crazy games with my son again. It is weird, I would not buy even a water gun for my son and got really mad when my husband got him a bubble gun but I allow him to play these games. My husband even paid for a years subscription. It is not as graphic as GTA so here go. So I once did a CT on my brain and the results said my brain was remarkable. I have aged a lot since then so I guess something went wrong along the way. Is it x to jump? or is it A? Why do I need to jump again? Who's is my team mate? Wait, is that my teammate? Oh wait, I am dead? My son is jumping, building, picking up loot, running right into danger, oh wait he's got so many of them. Why don't you get out of the open are you bullet proof? Wait, you can drive! Why are you driving so fast? Didn't you see that tree? Wait, Wait, wait, now you are diving from the sky. You can dance! You can heal yourself when you are on low heart, okay. Your team mate can heal you! oh ...
